Aoun: Only a Nuclear Bomb Can Separate Me from Hizbullah, I Will Visit Damascus Before Year’s End
Free Patriotic Movement leader Gen. Michel Aoun has reportedly vowed to remain inseparable from Hizbullah and told his partisans that he would visit the Syrian capital before the end of 2008.
As Safir daily on Friday said that Aoun told a gathering of FPM members who are seeking to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections that nothing but a nuclear bomb separates him from Hizbullah.
The head of the Change and Reform bloc said during the meeting that he would visit Damascus before the end of this year, specifically during the stage that would follow the exchange of ambassadors between Lebanon and Syria.
Aoun, according to the newspaper, also promised to finalize the list of FPM election candidates before year’s end.
