Murr: Surrendering Culprits in the Helicopter incident is the Minimum Accepted
Defense Minister al-Murr said on Friday the minimum accepted condition is surrendering the elements who opened fire on the Army helicopter so that they could be arrested.
Al-Murr made his remark prior to the cabinet’s meeting that was held under President Suleiman at Baabda palace.
Murr insisted that “the Army commander is appointed by a decision from the defense Minister and not elected and what happened in the previous days was just consultations concerning this decision.”
“The Army commander must be on the same distance from all political factions but not an issue for consensus.” Murr added.
